Ya know you're a washed up actor when...

So i'm sitting here w/ the discovery channel on in the background, and of course they have some show on about when Dino's walked around in America. Anyway, what really got me was the narrator. I sat there and listened for a few seconds... and I said.. huh.. that sounds a lot like John Goodman. Voice of the best monster of all Sully. Unlike, Morgan Freeman whose narration of March of the penguins was paramount, I don't see this as an accolade on John Goodman's record.

Cathedral lawn thoughts...

So it's quite the fine day here in Oakland. Mid 60's, nice breeze, and everyone seems to be enjoying the warmth of the sun and the promises and hopes of yet another fall season. I personally think fall is the best time of year. There something about the weather, the way the breeze feels on your skin, the feeling of wearing jeans and a hoodie, that give me hope and inspiration. I'm not entirely sure, I can put my finger on it. But, I have a feeling this fall, is going to be, if nothing less, one of the most interesting falls I’ve yet to experience.

For a good long while now, I’ve had a multitude of various prose I’ve needed to compose. And for one reason or another, I’ve put it off, or it just didn’t deem its self appropriate at the time. Some people suggest that writing when you’re emotionally charged produces a more powerful effect; I tend to disagree. I’ve had an eerily calm about me as of late, and I hope that this will be the perfect time to express to a lot of people how I’ve been feeling about a myriad of things. So, friends beware, expect some emails soon.

I'm a NERD !!!! (big surprise?)

Pure Nerd
65 % Nerd, 47% Geek, 26% Dork
For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Congratulations!
